Zara Spring Summer 2012

Zara have released their new lookbook for March, the styling is very clean and simple. Very gentle layering which would be perfect for spring as would the muted colour blocking. Zara is a great high street shop who often have pieces which could easily be designer both in terms of style and quality but at great prices, although sometimes a little expensive, it is a great high street shop to invest in.

The pastel pleated skirt teamed with a simple grey vest and black blazer just oozes Chanel and I could see Rachel Bilson wearing it.

Marc by Marc Jacobs Fall 2012

Marc Jacobs is the king of grunge from his spring collection way back in 1992 to the present day Marc has dipped in and out of grunge.

In this collection he mixes 90s grunge with military influences and makes it work so well. Heavy fabrics and loose fitting garments are largely present with pops of colour thrown into a largely muted colour palette. Waists were nipped in over heavy coats and Marc has played with lengths and layering- the skirts showing that the midi trend will still be around come next autumn.

Grunge trademark plaid was also present in the collection but rather than the standard red plaid, Marc used a brown and blue plaid teamed with burnished gold accents.

Valentine

Beyond Retro collaborated with four leading fashion bloggers to create some gorgeous Valentine's cards to help raise money for the British Heart Foundation.

The bloggers consisted of Bip Ling, Melanie Ricky, Laetitia Wajnapel and Shini Park who were given the task of creating a card they'd like to give or receive. It may be too late for you to send or receive these cards but they are beautiful to just look at, so if you happen to run into Beyond Retro today make sure you pick up one or the whole lot.

I'm not really into Valentine's but I would love to stick these on my poster wall.

Big Mystery Skincare

Remember when Pantene completely relaunched their haircare and sent out samples of it hidden in plain packaging asking for peoples opinions well someone is at it again this time with skincare.

I requested a sample over on their facebook page and waited for it to arrive. When I received it in the post I tried it out straight away so decided to do a mini review on it.

The smell of this product is lovely, it seems familar but I can't place it, so I'm not sure whether I've used this product before or it just smells like something I have.
The texture is really good too, I only used a tiny amount and it foamed up nicely. I'm not usually fond of foaming cleansers as I find they get in my hair so I only use them in the shower. Foaming cleansers also have a habit of making my skin really dry and red, I found this sample wasn't too harsh. I did however find a few dry patches on my nose.
I have quite sensitive skin so I was a little worried about getting irritated by the product, luckily I didn't and my skin was left feeling soft and clean with no tightness across the cheeks.

You can also use this cleanser as a mask if you simple use less water and leave it on for five minutes, I haven't tried this yet but still have plenty of the sample left to test it out.

Have anyone of you tried this yet? If you'd like to try a sample head over to the facebook page and pop in your details- I think Glamour also has a sample in this months issue aswell.

Yigal Azrouël Fall 2012

Azrouël uses beautiful coloured leather in rich reds and greens to create a collection that works so casually, with gentle prints and lace used on floor length dresses to conceal the body yet still hold an edge of sexiness.

Heavy chokers and loose layering give this collection a soft grunge feel, the colour palette also continues this whilst the white and ice blue pieces ensure everything is still feminine enough.

I can see Clémence Poésy in this collection and I can’t wait to see how the high street takes on coloured leather.
