Chloé Pre-Fall collection 2012

For her second collection for Chloé, Claire Waight Keller mixed up proportions- teaming fitted trousers with over-sized coats. Claire used shapes and delicate prints to catch that moment when the sixties slid into the relaxed 70s keeping the feel the label oozes.

The presentation appeared relaxed and as if influenced by street style shots, to me the whole collection gives off that model-off duty/editor style that is often captured outside the shows. Ever so slightly office wear feel without being too serious or formal, cocoon sleeves and pastel colour blocking make this collection perfect for the winter into spring transition or just English weather in general.

Paul & Joe 10th Anniversary Collection

When you're meant to be saving for IMATS the last thing you want to come along is a ridiculously cute powder palette with a cat embossed upon the powder but that’s what designers over at Paul & Joe have come up with for their 10th anniversary collection influenced by founder Sophie Albou's love of all things feline.

I’m a big cat lover so I’m very excited to see the whole collection; I might even have to sneakily invest in a piece or two. I guess one less item at IMATS won’t kill me.

Matthew Williamson Pre-Fall

Matthew Williamson has produced a beautiful pre-fall collection with grown up silhouettes and prints slightly reminiscent of Celine S/S 2011. Matthew Williamson pulls off a wonderfully sophisticated collection with a touch of playfulness, bright lace print pieces teamed with neutral grow up shapes bring this collection to being something truly special.

Making a Cameo

I've always had a bit of a soft spot for a cameo brooch, I'm not sure how or when the obsession started but I remember searching vintage fairs and charity shops for an affordable option. Finally whilst on holiday in York my Mum bought me a beautiful jade green brooch which sadly broke last year and I still haven’t got round to fixing it.

Lanvin has produced a beautiful pre-fall collection in which cameos make a nice little appearance and has truly brought back my love for the cameo brooch. I wonder whether this means the fashion world will be having a moment for cameos in the near future, now to finally take my cameo for an overdue repair.

Jil Sander Spring Campaign

A beautiful campaign from Jil Sander for S/S 2012, it has a moody and dark feel to it which is such a refreshing change to the usual S/S campaigns. The models all work perfectly with the setting and help give the shot a Hitchcockian feel, I expect this campaign will be one of the strongest of the season.

Fashion Nap

Today I'm loving these images from Tush Magazine, they remind me of planking but of course much cooler.

The styling in this shot is just beautiful and a bit Lady GaGa, deffo looking towards these for inspiration but I won't be lying down on any benches for the time being.
